British Airways Takes Over all Spain – London Flights of Iberia

BA has planned to hold the fort of its sister airlines within the coming few months of this year. Madrid Barajas had a pretty good number of flights running via route Spain-London which as a whole is handed over to the BA.

The Iberia and other carriers that flies through this route may be affected due to the sudden changes in the taking over of control.

The initial talk sounded as if only the Madrid Barajas will hand over its carriers in-charge to the British Airways, but the later part of description stated clearly that all of the flights that land London from the source as Spain will be affected due to this.

All the sister crafts of Iberia will be given in the hands of the BA which was later understood as said the Spanish press. Though all these confusions persist, the actual and finalized timetable of the flights have neither been released.

British Airways has announced launch dates for its first superjumbo aerial shuttle A380 services to Los Angeles. The A380 has been confirmed to launch on September 24, from Heathrow to L.A.

The airline has also confirmed its first A380 flight schedule from Heathrow to Hong Kong to launch on October 22. BA became the first UK airline to take delivery of the world’s largest commercial jet on 4th July, just a week after 787 dreamliner made its maiden arrival at Heathrow.

“These aircraft are the start of a new era for British Airways,” said CEO Keith Williams.

Airfare for the superjumbo jet for both routes starts at £621 for Los Angeles and £688 for Hong Kong. Tickets are on sale this July at great bargain rates.

Keith Williams, British Airways’ chief executive, said: “This will be a very special premiere. The A380 is a great aircraft that has been developed with huge amounts of British engineering ingenuity. London and Los Angeles are two world-leading cities, and we are proud to be the first airline to connect them with the A380.”
