Monarch Airlines has started its Malta-East Midlands operation with the primary flight touching down yesterday.


The craft was welcome by a water arch on the paved surface by the Malta airfield fireplace & Rescue team.

Passengers were welcome with flowers handed out by dancers in ancient Maltese costumes, courtesy of the Malta business enterprise Authority.

Malta airfield conjointly ready a cake for the occasion, light the airline’s complete, the Maltese flag and also the Union Jack.

The crew was greeted by Malta Airport’s Chief industrial Officer, Alan Borg.
